Edmund M. Cardoza, 71, of Dartmouth died Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at home after a long illness. He was the husband of Cynthia L. (Hough) Cardoza.
Born in Fall River, son of the late Antonio and Purification (Lopes) Cardoza, he had lived in Dartmouth for the last 25 years. Prior to retirement, Mr. Cardoza worked at Swan Finishing in Fall River and had previously worked at Olin Corporation in Fall River. An avid runner and salt water fisherman, he was also a Red Sox and Patriots fan. He loved spending time with his family at the beaches of Marco Island, Sanibel Island and Round Hill.
Including his wife, survivors include a son: David Cardoza of Marlborough, MA; a daughter: Lesley A. Fantasia of Dartmouth; a brother: Antonio Cardoza of Fall River; and 3 grandchildren: Samuel Cox, Abigail Cox and Emily Fantasia.
He was brother of the late Amelia Cardoza.
Memorial Service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, June 6, 2015 at the Potter Funeral Home at 7:00 P.M.
Memorial visitation will be Saturday from 5 - 7 P.M. prior to the service.
Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
