João C. Pereira, age 66, of Fall River, passed away on June 2, 2015. Born in Fernais de Luz, São Miguel, Açores, he was the son of the late José Travassos and Cristina (DaSilva) Pereira. João was a lead person at Quaker Fabric, a member of St. John’s Athletic Club, enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his sisters: Maria Deforge (husband Paul), and Maria Mello (Husband Keith), 2 nieces; Christine Cabral and Jillian Mello and two nephews; Joseph Travassos and Nicholas Mello. He was also the brother of the late José M. Travassos.
