Obituary

June W. (Brackett) Sutton, 99, of Bellingham died peacefully on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Edward James Sutton who died in 1970.

Born in Wakefield on September 7, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Edgar D. and Eva M. (Drury) Brackett.

Mrs. Sutton was a resident of Bellingham since 2013 and formerly resided in Arlington Heights and Somerville.

She graduated from Medford High School and was a homemaker for most of her life.

Mrs. Sutton was a member of the Broadway Methodist Church and the College Avenue Methodist Church, both in Somerville and the Calvary Methodist Church in Arlington.

She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and knitting.

She is survived by a son William G. Sutton and his wife Lois of Bellingham, a daughter Norma J. Ryan and her husband Dennis of Amherst, five grandchildren, Jon and his wife Penny, Beth and her husband Bob, Debra and her husband Brian, Kelly and her husband Christopher, and Colleen and seven great-grandchildren, Lyndon, Valerie, Alex, Mitchell, Brady, Olivia and Adeline.

She is also survived by her brother Robert Brackett and his wife Lorraine of Phoenix, Arizona and her daughter-in-law Regina Sutton of Lexington.

She was the mother of the late David A. Sutton and sister of the late Melba Casella.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Friday, June 5 at 10:00 a.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com). Burial will follow at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5 - 8 p.m.
