WEBSTER – Jennie A. (Ondrasek) Benoit, 98, died Sunday, May 31, 2015 in Webster Manor after a brief illness. Her husband of 75 years, Walter D. Benoit, died in 2013.
She leaves 2 daughters, Janet M. O’Connell and her husband James of Shawnee, KS and Deborah A. Moran of Webster; 2 grandchildren, John O’Connell and his wife Megan, and Matthew O’Connell and his wife Nikki; 3 great-grandchildren, Camden Hall, and Avery and Reed O’Connell; 4 step great-grandchildren, Tyler, Bailey, Bradon and Paxton; nieces and nephews. A granddaughter, Heather Forrester-Hall, died in 2014.
She was born in Webster, one of the eight children of Martin and Emelia (Mikoly) Ondrasek and was a lifelong resident.
Mrs. Benoit was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. She excelled at cooking, sewing, and knitting.
The funeral will be held Thursday, June 4, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main Street. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 8:30 to 9:30 Thursday morning in the funeral home.
