Bertha A. (Plaskus) Cameron, 87 years died Friday February 25, 2005 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston after a brief illness. Born in Brockton, daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Whyte) Plaskus. She was a graduate of Brockton High Class of 1935 and had been a lifelong resident of Brockton. She assisted her husband as proprietor of the Hotel Bryant for many years. She had been a long time communicant of St. Margaret church and active with AARP of Brockton.
She is survived by a son,William C. Cameron of Nantucket and a daughter
Judith A. Rubicine of N. Attleboro, one grandson, one granddaughter,several nieces and nephews.
She was wife of the late Melvin A. Cameron and sister of the late John Plaskus and Lillian Woodward.
A Funeral mass was held early today (Friday March 18, 2005) at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Brockton. Burial will be held at a later date in the Rockley Cemetery, Rockley, Nova Scotia.
