LOWELL—Eleanora P. (Cagnina) Ryan, 73 years old, a longtime resident of Lowell, died Thursday evening, March 10th, at her home in Lowell. She was the wife of Donald Ryan.
She was born in Medway, on January 12, 1932, a daughter of the late Jerome and Filomena (Pascuzzi) Cagnina, and was educated in the Woburn Public Schools. She graduated from Woburn High School and received a certificate in Nutrition from the Nutritional Education of the Middlesex County at University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
Mrs. Ryan had been employed as a nutritionist and cook at the Horne Home, in Lowell for many years as well as the Lowell Day Nursery and the Elegant Farmer, in Chelmsford. She was proud of her volunteer work with the WIC Program in Lowell. She had a passion for cooking travel dancing and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving her are four daughters and three sons-in-law: Lisa (Moloney) and Chuck Tata, of Gardiner, ME: Susan and Ted English, of Ventura, CA; Julie Reardon, of Virginia Beach, VA; and Karen and Richard Grigg, of Lowell; a brother and sister-in-law: John and Helen Cagnina of Woburn; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Connie and Martin Foley, of Middleton; Jeannette and Robert Goodrich, of Damariscotta, ME; and Rosemary Cagnina, of Lexington; also fifteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was the sister of the late Salvatore ‘Dan’ Cagnina.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial Service on Friday, March 18th, at 10:30 AM at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH, Lowell. Private committal at the convenience of the family.
