Obituary

MISS HELEN DEMETRIOS COTOULAS, age 86, a resident of Hull for most of her life, died on Wednesday, March 16th at the Braintree Landing Skilled Nursing Center in Braintree. Miss Cotoulas was born in Boston where she spent her early life and was educated. For 25 years she was a Trustee of the Hull Public Library and was also a Brownie leader in Hull. She was a founding member of the Panagia Greek Orthodox Church in Cohasset and for many years taught Sunday School at St. Catherine's Greek Orthodox Church in Quincy and at the Panagia Greek Orthodox Church as well.
In addition, she was an honorary life member of the Hull Garden Club.

Miss Cotoulas was hearing impaired, and her hearing ear dogs 'Cindy' and 'Checkers' were her trustworthy companions and extremely important in her life.

She was the daughter of the late Demetrios C. and the late Catherine (Tolkas) Cotoulas. She was the sister of Angie D. and her husband, Rev. Demetrios Michaelides of Quincy,the late Constantino D. Cotoulas and the late Nicholas D. Cotoulas. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be conducted on Monday, March 21st at 10:30 AM at the Panagia Greek Orthodox Church, 811 Jerusalem Rd., Cohasset.

Friends may visit at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham on Sunday from 2-4 PM and at the church on Monday from 9-10:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Hearing Ear Dog Program, NEADS, P.O. Box 213, W. Boylston, MA 01583.

The interment will be in the Hull Village Cemetery.
