Obituary

Jessie (D’Amico) DePerry, of Old Stonington Road, Stonington, died Wednesday morning at the Westerly Nursing Home. She had celebrated her 100th birthday last August.

Mrs. DePerry was born in Groton on August 12, 1904 one of eight children to John and Jessie (Merritt) D’Amico. Raised in Stonington, she attended local schools. She was employed as an inspector at the George C. Moore Co. in Westerly until her retirement in 1966.

A longtime resident of Stonington, Mrs. DePerry was a member of the United Church of Stonington.

She is survived by two sons, Peter M. DePerry of Westerly, and John DePerry of Raymond, NH; two daughters, Jessie LoPriore of Westerly and Viola Kimball of Pawcatuck; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and a great-greatgrandchild.

She was predeceased by her seven siblings, Eugene C., Alden R., Clifford E., John S., Charles M., and Edward D’Amico, and a sister, Rose Northrup.

Her family will greet relatives and friends at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, historic downtown Mystic on Friday from 4-7pm with a prayer service following at 7pm. A Graveside Funeral Service will be conducted Colonel Ledyard Cemetery, Mitchell Street, Groton on Saturday at 10am. The Rev. Valerie King, Pastor of The United Church of Stonington, will officiate.
