
Albert E. Porcella, 93 of Medford died Monday in the Melrose/Wakefield Hospital Melrose.
Born in Boston, he lived in Medford for the past 45 years was the son of the late Teresa (Strocchio) and Antonio Porcella.
Mr. Porcella was a Furniture Salesman, in the Boston Area for many years.
Albert was a member of the Medford Elks Lodge #915 for 35 years and the Secretary for 25 years. In 1995 Albert received from the Medford City Council a Council Commendation for his performance as Secretary of the Medford Lodge of Elks. On April 13, 2002 he received from the Massachusetts State Senate and House of Representatives an Official Citation for his dedicated service as the Secretary of the Medford Lodge of Elks #915.
Beloved husband of the late Angela “Bianca” (Fanzilli) Porcella. Devoted father of Lola Lombardo of Burlington, Alphonse Carbone and his wife Sally of CT. Loving grandfather of Lola Mastracci and her husband Tony, Dr. Paul Lombardo and his wife Christine, John Lombardo and his wife Maria and Dean Lombardo. Also survived by 6 loving great grandchildren. Brother of Madeline Maffeo of Haverhill.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Wednesday 4 thru 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
