Mr. John D. Correiro, of Taunton, died Wednesday, May 27 in the Good Samaritan Medical Center, Brockton following a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Nancy S. (Hartwell) Correiro. He was born 88 years ago in Tiverton, R.I., the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Correiro. He was educated in Tiverton and had been a Taunton resident for the past 49 years. Prior to his retirement, John had been employed at Whittenton Hardware and previously at Manny’s Hardware in Taunton for 30 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during World War II. He enjoyed playing bingo and video games.
In addition to his wife, he leaves: 1 son: Jeffrey Correiro of Taunton; 3 granddaughters: Jennifer, Nicole and Amanda Correiro, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements are under the direction of The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home of Taunton.
