Obituary

WORCESTER—Robert Livingstone Crawford died peacefully at his home on Friday, March 11th after a long illness. Born in Connecticut on November 13, 1921, Mr. Crawford attended New York City Public Schools, and then attended Colgate University where he majored in English and Mathematics. From 1942 to 1945 he served in Europe and Africa with the US Army Air Force during the Second World War.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years Kathleen Crawford; brother Ian Cristy of Ontario, Canada; sons Brian Crawford of Queens, NY; Scott Crawford of Frisco, CO., daughters Kimberly Hannigan and husband Michael of Holden, Melissa Crawford of Worcester, Paula Kruczek and husband Charles of Worcester, and six grandchildren Aaron, Jake, Aibhlin, Anna, Jess and Nora. Daughter by previous marriage Lynn Walbruch of Calgary, Canada; and son Jeffrey Crawford. Active in to his eighties, Robert’s wit, wisdom and simple joy of life will be missed.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
