Mary E. “Liz” (Sherman) Rulon, 79, of Westport died Saturday, May 23, 2015 at home. She was wife of the late Phillip J. Rulon, Jr.
Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Wendell B. and Mary L. (Cummings) Sherman, she was a lifelong resident of Westport. The Sherman family was one of the founding families of Westport. Mrs. Rulon was avid in town politics.
Survivors include 3 sons: Phillip J. Rulon III of Fairbanks, AK, Waldo S. “Smokey” Rulon of Milton, MA and Charles W. Rulon of Warren, RI; 5 grandchildren: Justin, Shea, Kate, Jennifer and Morgan Rulon; and a niece: Susan Winer.
A memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, May 30, 2015 at the Westport Point United Methodist Church, Westport Point at 10:00 A.M.
Memorial visitation will be Friday from 5 - 8 P.M. at the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Rd., Westport.
Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
