
MILLBURY-Adam T. Polakowski also known as Adam T. Polaski, 93, formerly of 3 Copley Road, Worcester died Friday, March 11th in Millbury Healthcare Center. His wife of 53 years Jane (Siemienkiewicz) died in 1989. He leaves his daughter Theresa P. wife of John McGarry of Portland, CT, a brother, Francis and his wife, Stephanie Polaski of Worcester, 2 grandchildren, Michael P. and his wife, Ann McGarry of Ocoee, FL and Matthew and his wife Bridget McGarry of Locust Valley, NY and 3 great-grandchildren, Caitlyn McGarry of Locust Valley, NY and Jack and Ryan McGarry both of Ocoee, FL, and 2 sisters-in law Winnie Siemienkiewicz of Bondesville and Sophie LaPierre of Spencer, and best friends Phil Flagg of Worcester and Kathleen Racicot of Millbury.
He was born in Worcester the son of John and Anna (Gorska) Polakowski and was a graduate of Worcester Boy’s Trade School. He had been a Master Electrician for U.S. Steel and Wire retiring in 1965 and also for Adams Electrical Company. Mr. Polakowski had been a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish, the Worcester Camera Club, the Boston Camera Club, the Worcester Lodge of Elks and was voted Elk of the Year in 1967 and 1968, and the Knights of Columbus.
The funeral is Wednesday, March 16th, from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant Street. Burial will be Monday, March 28th at Noon in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Webster. Calling hours are Tuesday, March 15th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
