James G. Griffin, 86, of Fitzgerald, Georgia died Thursday, March 10, 2005 at Dorminy Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, March 12, 2005 at Evergreen Cemetery, with Rev. Kelly Brown and Rev. Rex Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 until the funeral hour on Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr Griffin was born November 11, 1918, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late General G. and Nettie Mae Josey Griffin. He was a former employee of Ben Hill Truck & Tractor Company, Mann Irrigation, Rainbow Irrigation Systems and Chaney Bush Irrigation. Mr. Griffin was a United States Veteran, serving during World War II. He was a member of Irwinville Baptist Church.
Mr. Griffin is survived by his wife: Mildred V. Griffin, Fitzgerald; son: James Donald “Don” Griffin, Fitzgerald.
