Mrs. Pearl A. Phillips, age 89, of Water Valley, MS, passed away Wednesday March 9, 2005 at the Tishomingo Hospital in Iuka, MS. The daughter of James Allen Anderson and Mary Elizabeth Kirby Anderson, she was a retired private duty nurse and a member of the Baptist faith.
There will be a chapel service Thursday, Mar 10, 2005 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home at 4:00 PM with Brother Keith Stevens officiating. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery in Yalobusha County.
Mrs Phillips leaves a niece, Rachel Hogue of Pascagoula, MS : two nephews, James Newbaker of Sedro Wolley, WA and Arthur Newbaker of Canton, MS : Three great-nieces, Lisa Trager of Windsor, VA , Carol Boyle of Memphis, TN and Beverly Hammer of Bartlett, TN : Two great-nephews, Chet Jones of Cordova, TN and Bill Jones of Bartlett, TN.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clois Phillips who died March 12, 1970 and her niece Charlotte Jones who died April 30, 1992.
