Leo St. Hilaire age 81 of Salem, NH, died Wednesday at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA
He was born in Lawrence, MA, grew up and was schooled in North Andover, MA, where he graduated from Johnson High School in 1942. He was a resident of Salem, NH for the past 27 years, formerly of North Andover, MA.
Mr. St. Hilaire was a retired machinist for Bolton-Emerson in Lawrence, MA. He had also worked for Raytheon Corporation in Andover, MA. He was a member of Mary Queen of Peace Church in Salem, NH, and enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Mr. St. Hilaire was a US Army World War 2 Veteran. He was a Prisoner of War for 2 years, and received the Bronze Star. He was a member of the Salem VFW Memorial Post 8546, a member of the Ex POW’S chapter 1 of New Hampshire, and a member of the DAV.
He was predeceased by a daughter: Susan St. Hilaire
He is survived by his wife of 59 years: Ann (McKinnon) St. Hilaire of Salem, NH

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 12, 2005 at 10 AM at Mary Queen of Peace Church, Salem, NH. Burial will follow in Ridgewood Cemetery, North Andover, MA.
Calling hours will be held Friday, March 11, 2005 from 4-8 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem, NH.
