NEW BEDFORD -- Mildred P. (Pemberton) Pierce, 92, of North Dartmouth, formerly of New Bedford, died Sunday, March 6, 2005, at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the widow of Merle L. Pierce.
Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Albert Pemberton Sr. and Ellen (Mitchell) Pierce. She lived in this area all of her life and was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church.
Mrs. Pierce was a member of the Buttonwood Senior Citizens and loved playing bingo.
Survivors include two sons, William L. Pierce of New Bedford and Robert P. Pierce of Alabama; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was the grandmother of the late Robert Pierce Jr. and Aaron Pierce.
Her graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday March 9, 2005 at the Cushing Cemetery in Mattapoisett, Ma.
