Obituary

Lorraine E. (Keefe) Donahue 80, of the Village at Farm Pond in Framingham formerly of So Yarmouth and Wellesley, died on Saturday March 5th at the Metro West Hospital in Framingham. Born in Arlington Lorraine grew up in Cambridge. In 1945 she enlisted in the Navy during WWII completing the U.S. Navel Training School and Gunnery School. Lorraine was a Wellesley resident from 1960 to 1983 where for many years was the Hostess at the Wellesley College Club. In 1983 she moved to So. Yarmouth where she also worked as a Hostess at the former Sherdan’s Restaurant in So. Yarmouth. Four years ago she moved to the Village of Farm Pond in Framingham where she become very active and involved in her new community. Lorraine was the beloved wife of the late Charles J. Donahue. Loving mother of Lori E. and her husband Eric Sommerhalter of Southoro, Kathleen A. Son of Kennebunk ME, Tracy M. and her husband Richie Nagle of Natick and Kellie Fitzpatrick of Millis. Grandmother of Kristen and Michelle Sommerhalter, Dustan and Lora Son, Shannon, Leigh Ann and Kelsey Nagle, Michael and Kacie Fitzpatrick and the late Lindsey Son. Sister of John Keefe of MI. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and her many dear friends at the Village of Farm Pond. Funeral from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Tuesday March 8th at 10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church in Needham at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Monday 4-7 PM. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery in Needham. In lieu of flowers memorials in Lorraine’s memory may be made to MSPCA 350 South Huntington Ave. Boston MA 02130.
