Fall River – Helen A. (Maynard) Mellor, 63, of Fall River died Friday, March 4, 2005 at Charlton Memorial Hospital, after a long illness. She was the wife of Milton E. Mellor, Jr.
Mrs. Mellor was born in Fall River, daughter of the late Joseph H. and Mary E. (Medeiros) Maynard, and was a lifelong resident of the city. She attended Espirto Santo Church, Fall River. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 4 daughters: Norma J. Mellor of Fall River, Cynthia L. Mellor of Fall River, Rebecca A. Mellor of Fall River and Stephanie H. Mellor of Fall River; 6 brothers: Raymond Maynard of Fall River, Richard Maynard of Fall River, George Maynard of Westport, Robert Maynard of Fall River, Edward Maynard of Fall River and David Maynard of Fall River; 3 sisters: Claudia Beirola of Tiverton, RI, Agnes Leduc of Fall River and Pearl Maynard of Fall River; 5 grandchildren: Jon Mellor, Milton “Mitch” Mellor IV, Terrance Mellor, Brandon Mellor and Tyler Wilding; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Milton E. Mellor III and sister of the late Joseph Maynard, Richard Maynard, Paul Maynard and Lorraine Beland.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be from the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Rd., Westport, Monday, March 7, 2005 at 8:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Espirto Santo Church, Fall River at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Sunday 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 P.M.
Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Westport.
