Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Monday at 9:30 am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 10:30 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours Sunday 4-7 pm. Obituary
Mr. Bourne died Thursday at his home after a period of failing health. Born in Brockton, son of the late Frank C. and Carrie (Temple) Bourne. He remained a lifelong resident of the city and was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1932. In 1977 he retired from the MBTA. Previously he was a general manager of the Union Street Railway and
the Eastern Mass Street Railway. He enjoyed time spent in Mashnee Village and Sarasota, Florida and he also enjoyed reading and long walks. Previously he was a communicant of St. Patrick Church and currently of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.
He is survived by three daughters, Kathleen M. Swaim of Boston; Janet M. Ghetti of Darnestown, MD and Mary Jane Cotter and her husband Ted of Brockton, eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren and a special niece Ginny Middleton of Brockton.
He was the husband of late Mary E.(Little) Bourne and brother of the late Carolyn Tinkham and Stanton Bourne.
