Tommy G. Hudson, 51, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Wednesday, March 2, 2005.
Funeral services will be at held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 5, 2005, at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Irwin County, with Rev. John Gibbs, Jr. and Rev. Donnie Wright officiating. Interment will follow in Frank Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00, Friday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mr. Hudson was born May 16, 1953, in Irwin County, Georgia, to Grace H. Hudson and the late Eugene Hudson. Having lived in Irwin County all of his life, he was a 1971 graduate of Irwin County High School and attended ABAC. Mr. Hudson worked for the Department of Transportation for eighteen years and was currently Crew Chief of Surveying, working out of the Tifton office. He was a member of the Long County Hunting Club, Horse Creek Hunting Club, Irwin County Youth League and the Engineering Association of the Georgia Department of Transportation. Mr. Hudson was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved to cook for his family and friends.
Mr. Hudson is survived by his wife: Gloria Hudson, Ocilla; children: Wesley Hudson, Hunter Hudson, Nan Pope and Joey Ammons, all of Ocilla; seven grandchildren; mother: Grace H. Hudson, Ocilla; sister and brother-in-law: Debbie and Jimmy Browning, Nashville, GA and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Hudson.
