William “Gary” Lamon

DERRY, NH - William “Gary” Lamon, 56, a well known former resident of Tewksbury, diedFriday, April 19, at the Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, R.I., while working. Hewas the husband of Marilyn A. “Maggie” (Daley) Lamon, with whom he would have celebrated a37th wedding anniversary on July 24th.

He was born in No. Adams, Mass., June 4, 1945 and lived for a short time in Vermont. Hemoved to Tewksbury and attended Tewksbury Public schools. He graduated from TewksburyMemorial High School in 1963. He lived the greater part of his life in Tewksbury, and had movedto Derry, NH in 1999.

He began his career with Decatur-Hopkins, and was currently employed by Wal-Mart. He was amember of the AFL-CIO Teamsters, Local 25 in Charlestown, Mass. He used the CB Radiohandle “Crew Cut.”

As a resident of Tewksbury, he was a member of the Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks Lodge # 2070.

Besides his wife he is survived by three sons, Michael and his wife Ann Marie (Federico) Lamonof Medford, David Lamon of Lowell, Wilfred “Bill” and his wife Maryanne (Saunders) Lamon ofMethuen, a daughter, Erin and her husband David McGill of Bedford, NH, his mother, Dorothy(Vallett) Denning of Uncasville, CT., five grandchildren, Cassandra, Devyn, Hannah, Jackson, andRyan, four sisters, Joanne and her husband Bruce Pirnie of VT, Kelly and her husband RaymondTabor of VT., Donna Denning and her life partner Kodaq of CA, Cathleen and her husbandDaniel Fletcher of CT, two brothers, Rodney Lamon of Windham, NH, William and his wifeLaurie Denning of FL, one uncle, Donald Vallett of Uncasville, CT, and numerous nieces andnephews.

He was also brother of the late Merideth McLean.His funeral is Wednesday at 9:00 a.m from the funeral home followed by a FuneralMass Wednesday at 10:00 a .m. in St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St. (Rte 38) Tewksbury. Visiting hours Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Interment in Tewksbury Cemetery.
