Obituary

PORT RICHEY, FLORIDA - Philip S. Hodge, 81, of Port Richey, Florida, formerly of Salem, MA and Danvers, MA, died Monday, February 28, 2005 in Port Richey.

Born in Salem on July 16, 1928, he was the son of the late Dwight and Beatrice (Sanborn) Hodge. He was a graduate of Salem High School in 1940 and was a graduate of Dartmouth College. He was a resident of Danvers until moving to Florida about 20 years ago.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed for many years as an insurance adjuster.

A Navy veteran of WWII, he held the rating of Ensign.

Mr Hodge is survived by one brother, Raymond and his wife Marion Hodge, of Peabody, formerly of Salem, two nieces, Carol Osborne of Minden, Nevada, Nancy Lynch of Ipswich, a great nephew Gregory Osborne of Lake Tahoe, CA, two great nieces, Leigh-Ann Osborne of Peabody and Briana Lynch of Ipswich.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at 11 am in the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. A visitation will be held Wednesday from 10 to 11 am, prior to the service. For those who desire, donations may be made in his memory to the Hospice of The North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers, MA 01923.
