Joseph F. Carreiro, Jr., 60, of Marion died February 28, 2005 at Tobey Hospital unexpectedly.
He was the husband of Colleen Joy (Harrop) Carreiro.
Born in Taunton, son of Agnes M. (Araujo) Carreiro of Surprise, AZ and the late Joseph F. Carreiro, Sr., he was raised in Taunton and lived the last several years in the Greater New Bedford area.
Mr. Carreiro was a communicant of St. John Neumann Church in East Freetown.
He was the proprietor of Dartmouth Medical Equipment for several years. Prior to that, he was the proprietor of ChangeWorks Consulting for many years.
Mr. Carreiro served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife; his mother; a sister, Donna M. Elliott of Goodyear, AZ; two brothers, Robert A. Carreiro of Fairhaven and Eric Paul Carreiro of Cumberland, RI; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; one grandniece and two grandnephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at St. John Neumann Church, East Freetown, Thursday, March 3rd at 10 AM.
Visiting hours at the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6) Mattapoisett, Wednesday, March 2nd from 4-8 PM.
Interment Evergreen Cemetery, Marion.
