Bibian S. (Plante) Devenne, a long-time Medford resident died Sunday at the Winchester Hospital. She was 84.
Born in VanBuren, ME, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and the late Elise (Dionne) Plante. Bibian was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She also worked for 12 years as an administrator at Tufts University.
She was the beloved wife of the late Walter A. Devenne, the former Chief of Tufts University Police. She was a devoted mother to Walter, Jr. of Derry, NH, Robert A. of West Newbury and Elise M. Scully of Reading. She was a loving grandmother to Michael, Gregory, Walter III, Amanda, Robert, Jenna, David and a great-grandmother to Angela and Keira.
Relatives and friends may visit Tuesday from 4 - 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered in St. Joseph Church, Medford, Wednesday at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
