FALL RIVER – Charles C. Rosinha, 71, of Adamsville, RI died Saturday, February 26, 2005 at Charlton Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of the late Eleanor F. (Gray) Rosinha and the son of the late Antone C. and Margaret (Charrette) Rosinha.
He was born in Westport and has been a resident of Adamsville since 1955. He was a member of the First Baptist (Old Stone) Church in Tiverton. Prior to his retirement he had been a commercial fisherman for H.N. Wilcox Inc. of Little Compton.
Mr. Rosinha had been a volunteer fireman for the town of Little Compton and was a member of the Little Compton Game Club and the Little Compton Democratic Committee.
He is survived by 5 sons: Donald A. Rosinha of Little Compton, RI, Brian C. Rosinha of Adamsville, RI, Mark C. Rosinha of Westport, MA, Peter L. Rosinha of Tiverton, RI, and Paul G. Rosinha of Adamsville, RI; 1 daughter: Karen L. Daniels-Ambrifi of Portsmouth, RI; 3 sisters: Patricia Dean of Westport, MA, Toni Ann Taylor of Westport, MA and Eileen Silva of Adamsville, RI; 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was the grandfather of the late Anita Rosinha and Heather Daniels and brother of the late Albert Rosinha and Margaret Oliveira.
Service to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at 12:00 P.M. at the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road, Westport.
Interment service will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Tiverton.
Calling hours will be Tuesday 5-8 P.M.
