Thomas E. Carreiro, 65, of Westport, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the son of Virginia (Carvalho) Carriero of Tiverton and the late Joseph J. Carriero.
Mr. Carreiro was born in Fall River and had been a longtime resident of Westport. He had worked as a laborer for various area construction companies. He was a member of the Paskamansett Beagle Club of Dartmouth and a former member of the Little Compton Game Club. He enjoyed farming and hunting.
Survivors along with his mother include his son: Thomas M. Carreiro of Swansea; 4 daughters: Lisa Carreiro of Warren, RI, Andrea Piques of Fall River; Ashley Carreiro of Swansea and Maggie Rolando of Bristol, RI; 2 brothers: David J. Carreiro of FL and Joseph “Jo Jo” Carreiro of TX; 11 grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Linda M. Sama and Kenneth J. Carreiro.
Memorial Mass to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, May 30, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Interment will be private.
