Obituary

Mrs. Barbara W. (Boyle) Spencer, of Raynham and formerly of West Bridgewater, died unexpectedly Saturday, May 16 in the Brigham and Womens Hospital, Boston, following a brief illness. She was born 71 years ago in Santa Barbara, Calif., the daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Trainor) Boyle. She was educated in Quincy, Ma., and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Regis College in Weston. Prior to her retirement, Barbara had been employed at State Street Bank, Quincy, for 5 years. She was previously employed at the Factory Mutual Insurance Co. in Norwood for 10 years. She was a member of the General Federation of Womens Clubs, and the Sociable Seniors of St. Ann’s Church in Raynham. Barbara enjoyed visiting the Raynham Senior Center, the Raynham Athletic Club, she loved the beach, water aerobics with her friends, traveling, reading and spending time with her four beautiful grandchildren, as well as with her beloved dog, Cody. She was a communicant of St. Ann’s Parish in Raynham.
She leaves: 1 daughter: Michele (Spencer) Rodrigue and her husband, Marc of Raynham; 4 grandchildren: Emilee, Aimee, Haylee, and Lilee Rodrigue, and several nieces and nephews. Barbara was also the sister of the late Walter, Robert and Raymond Boyle.
Visiting Hours will be held at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton, on Monday, May 25 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. A Prayer Service will follow at 7:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
