Obituary

Robert A. Di Spirito, 63, of Woonsocket died Friday May 8, 2015 at home.
Born in Miami, Florida he was a son of the late Luigi and Dorothy (Gilroy) Di Spirito. He was a resident of Woonsocket for most of his life.
Mr. Di Spirito was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal.
Bob worked for Garelick Farms for several years and later was employed as a computer systems manager at LTX Corporation in Westwood, MA for many years before retiring.
Bob loved the game of baseball and was a staunch Atlanta Braves fan. He also enjoyed playing softball and golf. He treasured the music of the Beatles and was a connoisseur of old time comedy including movies and shows by Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis.
Bob will be remembered for his sense of humor and his love for his family.
He is survived by two sons Matthew J. Di Spirito and his wife, Stephanie, of Woonsocket and Robert L. Di Spirito of Carver, MA and a daughter Sharon L. Ordung her husband, Brian Ordung Jr., of Woonsocket. He was the former husband and friend of Beatrice L. (Philbrick) Methot of Woonsocket and was the brother of Sharon M. Di Spirito of North Carolina, Judy A. Di Spirito of Syracuse, NY and the late Marianne Di Spirito. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and serval nieces and nephews.
A committal service with military honors will be held Saturday at 10:30 am at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter. Please assemble at the Administration Building by 10:15 am. Visiting hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers and in keeping with Bob’s love for baseball please consider donations to local little league associations. Arrangements are by the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket.
