Faye Benton Price, 83, of Fitzgerald, died Sunday, May 17, 2015, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Thursday, May 21, 2015, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with Brother Greg Crawford officiating. Interment will be held at 2 PM, Friday, May 22, 2015, at Lakeview Memory Gardens in Phenix City, Alabama. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Wednesday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Price was born October 19, 1931, in Ozark, Alabama to the late Harmon Lee & Thelma Judah Benton. She was a homemaker and had lived in the community for the past 20 years. She also worked as a caregiver and enjoyed sewing and quilting. She traveled with her husband during his career in the United States Army. Mrs. Price was of the Holiness faith.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: Perry & Fay Price of Pine Mountain, Sandra & Floyd Benefield of Fortson, and Carla Davis of Fitzgerald; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Don & Mary Benton of Mauk and Ferrell Benton of Jacksonville, Florida; and a sister, Wyvon O’Neal of Buena Vista. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Houston Henry Price; a daughter, Carol Thach; and a brother, Rayburn Benton.
