Faye Jones Cowart, 77, of Mystic, GA, died, Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.
Graveside Rites will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, May 18, 2015 at Mystic Cemetery with the Rev. Roger Tucker officiating. Interment will follow. The family will be receiving friends from 6-8 PM, Sunday evening, May 17, 2015 at The Paulk Funeral Home in Ocilla, Georgia.
Mrs. Cowart was born August 5, 1937 in Dakota (Turner County) Georgia to the late Robert and Claude Roberts Jones. She worked seasonal jobs such as peanuts and vegetables and also kept children in her home. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her children and their spouses: Ronald (Ronnie) L. Jones and wife Susan, of Conroe, Texas, Donald (Donnie) F. Jones and wife Jo Ann of Ocilla; grandchildren, Ashley Griffin and husband Casey, Reese Jones all of Ocilla, Robby Jones, Will Jones and Kate Jones of Conroe, Texas; great-grandchildren, Owen and Brooks Griffin of Ocilla; one sister, Janice Tittle and husband Russell of Valdosta. Her parents; Husband, Maxie Cowart; sister, Joyce Whitley, an infant sister, Betty Jo Jones; a brother, Bobby Jones and a nephew, Keith Whitley, preceded her in death.
