John R. Donovan, 68, of Lawrence, Massachusetts passed away on Friday, May 8th, 2015 at the Lawrence General Hospital.
He was born on October 12, 1946 in Boston, son of the late William and Anne (Neagle) Donovan. John was educated in the local schools of Lawrence and was a graduate of Lawrence High School. He was an attendant of Saint Patrick’s Church and worked for Turtle Bay Girls Clothing Outlet, then for Essex Hardware and later as a manager for Essex Mechanical Supply Company all in Lawrence, Massachusetts.
John enjoyed the Beach and loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his daughters Lisa M. Donovan of Lawrence, MA
and Colleen A. Donovan and her husband Pasquale Messina of Sandown, NH and
his son John R. Donovan, Jr. of Haverhill, MA.
He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
His sisters Judith Miele of Nashua, NH and Mary White and her husband William White of Salem, NH.
As well as several nieces and nephews.
John is predeceased by his brother William Donovan.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to call on Wednesday, May 27th, 2015 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA. His service will take place following the calling hours at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
