Patricia "Nininha" (Ramos) Duarte, 91, of New Bedford died Friday February 25, 2005 at home after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Elias N. Duarte.
Born in Wareham, she was the daughter of the late Francisco and Rose (Almeida) Ramos, she was raised in Providence, RI, she had lived in Fall River for most of her life before moving to New Bedford 12 years ago.
She was a member of the Kingdom Hall in Dartmouth.
Mrs. Duarte was formerly employed as a housekeeper for many years.
She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Lou "Bena" Silva-Brown and Celeste Gonsalves, and her husband Ricardo, all of New Bedford, and Lucia Bulgar, and her husband Stephan, of Acushnet; a sister, Mary Almeida of Providence; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren;three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
She was the mother of the late Louis Reis and Joseph DosReis and the sister of the late Peter Ramos and Constance Ramos.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday February 28, 2005 at 11 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park Street, New Bedford. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Visiting hours will be on Sunday February 27, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
