Peter Caruso of Revere died Wednesday, May 13, in the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. Born and raised in Avellino, Italy, he was the son of the late Ralph and Angela (Russo) Caruso. Peter moved to the U.S. and lived in Boston's North End before eventually settling in Revere.
He was the devoted father of Ralph Caruso and his companion Karen Suchy of Greenville, SC, Peter Caruso Jr. of Wakefield, and the loving grandfather of Carmine Caruso of North Attleboro. Peter was the cherished brother of Maria Bozzella and her husband Sabatino of Boston, the late Luigina Bonito, Gaetana Fiorino, Guiseppina Cappuccio, Victor, Mario, Giovanni, Antonio, and Carmine Caruso. He is also survived by former wife Anna DeRosa of Wells, ME, and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Monday, May 18, at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday, May 17, from 4 through 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
