METHUEN – Sr. Audrey Bardsley, 83, passed away Tuesday May 12, 2015 at the Saint Claire Residence of the Presentation of Mary in Methuen, MA.
Born in Biddeford, Maine, she was the daughter of Harry Clifton and Helene Rose (Gagne) Bardsley and attended St. Andre Grammar School and St. Andre High School in Biddeford, ME and was a graduate of Rivier College in Nashua, NH. Sr. Audrey entered the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary, taking the religious name, Sr. Helene de la Croix. Sr. Audrey served as a French teach, a piano and chant teacher as well as organist in various Presentation of Mary Schools in Biddeford, Maine, Burlington Vermont, Methuen, MA, St. Cuan’s College School in Ireland as well as in Palace Gate School in England.
Sr. Audrey retired to the Saint Claire Residence of the Presentation of Mary in Methuen, MA in 2005.
She is survived by her cousins, Donald E. Bardsley of Nashua, NH and Aline Belisle of Biddeford, Maine.
Visiting hours will be Monday May 18, 2015 from 2:00p.m. – 5:00p.m. at the Saint Claire Residence of the Presentation of Mary, 209 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday May 19, 2015 at 2:30p.m. in the Chapel of the Presentation of Mary with burial to follow in the Presentation of Mary Cemetery also in Methuen, MA.
