SPRINGFIELD – Theresa B. (Jankauskas) Cameron, 88, of Springfield, was Called Safely Home on Tuesday, May 12, 2015. She was born in Hartford, Connecticut on February 26, 1927 and came to Springfield in the 1940’s. She graduated from the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing with a degree as a Registered Nurse. She was last employed in the Occupational Health Department at the American Cyanamid Company. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Springfield. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend of 63 years, retired Springfield Patrolman, Donald F. Cameron. She leaves her loving children, Frances Anne Cameron of Van Nuys, CA and Donald F. Cameron, Jr. of Westfield; her cherished granddaughter, Allison Cameron Gray of Sherman Oaks, CA and her companion, Hamlet. Her relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, May 18, 2015 from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. A Prayer Service will be held at 11 a.m. at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107. Her Committal will follow the service at 1 p.m. in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam. Her family has requested that donations be made in her memory to the Sacred Heart Church Renovation Fund, 395 Chestnut Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
