Leicester- Aldona P. (Balcunas) Buchyn, 85, of 120 Pine St., died Friday, Feb. 25, in UMass-Memorial Medical Center, University Campus.
Her husband, Alphonse Buchyn, died in 1981. She leaves a son, Glenn A. Buchyn of Leicester; a daughter, Patricia D. Buchyn of Leicester, with whom she lived; a brother, Leonard A. Balcunas of Putnam, CT; a sister, Albina C. Balcunas of Leicester; a granddaughter, Kristiina L. Buchyn of Millbury; nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two brothers, Stephen J. Balcunas and Vito S. Balcunas. She was born, raised, and educated in Worcester, daughter of John and Pauline (Traupis) Balcunas. She graduated from North High School. She moved to Leicester in 1967.
Mrs. Buchyn was a member of St. Casimir Parish, Worcester.
The funeral will be held Monday, Feb. 28, from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., Worcester, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Casimir Church, 41 Providence St., Worcester. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation is from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 28, in the funeral home.
