Irene R. Bova, 72 of Revere died Wednesday after a long illness in the Eastpoint Nursing Home Chelsea.
Born in Boston, she lived in Revere for the past 45 years and formerly of the North End of Boston. She was the daughter of the late Maria (Labadia) and Louis Rizzo. Irene was a Research Assistant, at the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center for over 20 years and retired in 1995. She also was a graduate of Boston State College in 1975.
Beloved wife of the late Frank Bova. Devoted mother of Eileen Bova of Revere, Frank W. Bova Jr. of Princeton, Lorraine Ouellette of Middleton, and Stephen Bova of Peabody. Also survived by 7 loving grandchildren. Sister of Louis W. Rizzo and his wife Marjorie of Maine, Diane Rizzo of AZ, Eugene Rizzo and his wife Karen of Germany.
Funeral from the Bruno Funeral Chapel, 291 Revere St. REVERE on Saturday Feb. 26 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., Revere, at 10 AM.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
Visiting hours Friday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
