FALL RIVER - Joseph Capeto, age 91, husband of the late Virginia (Benevides) Capeto. Residence: Turner St. Fall River, formerly of Somerset, died Wednesday in Fall River at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
Born in Fall River he was the son of the late Manuel Capeto and the late Alexandrina (Rego) Capeto. He was a resident of Somerset for about 35 years, before returning to Fall River for the last 7 years. Before retiring, he was the Owner and Operator of the Former Era Novo Printing Co. on No. Main St. Fall River. He was a member of St. Thomas More Church and was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, where he served overseas for twenty-two months with the 434th Infantry as a heavy machine gunner. He is survived by 1 Sister: Isabel Capeto of Fall River & Nieces and Nephews.He was the brother of the late Manuel, Gabriel, Beatrice, Alice, & Helen Capeto.
His Funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 North Main Street on Friday at 9:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Thomas More Church at 10:00 AM. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, County St. Somerset. Calling Hours Thursday 3-7 P.M.
