New Bedford – Lawrence Domingos, 77, of New Bedford died suddenly February 22, 2005 at St. Luke’s Hospital.
Mr. Domingos was born in New Bedford, son of the late Pasqual and Gracinda (Calvoa) Domingos, and was a lifelong resident of the city. He was a U.S Army veteran of WWII. He was a member of the Dartmouth Baptist Church, New Bedford. He was employed for 12 years as a machine operator by the former Morse Twist Drill, New Bedford until his retirement. He enjoyed music, dancing, and sports but most of all loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include 2 daughters; Cheryl A. Miranda and Gail S. Swallow both of New Bedford; 3 sons: Bruce L. Domingos of New Bedford, Bryan A. Domingos of Shirley, MA and Michael Silveira of New Bedford; a brother: Antonio Domingos and his wife Joan of N. Dartmouth; his sister: Adeliade DeMello of New Bedford; his beloved sister: Mathilda Prenda and her husband Eddy of New Bedford; 9 grandchildren: Scott Domingos, Dereck Domingos, Sarah M. Domingos, Tiffany Miranda, Wen-dee Miranda, Aaron Domingos, Lindsey Domingos, Ian Domingos and Jennipha Lei Domingos all of New Bedford; 6 great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.
He was brother of the late John Domingos and Arelindo Domingos.

Funeral service on Thursday at 8:00 P.M. at the KIRBY FUNERAL HOME, 61 Tarkiln Hill Road, New Bedford.
