Mary Racca, age 82, died Monday evening, February 21st, in Cambridge at the Youville Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Italy she was the daughter of the late Alphonsina (DeLauri) & Rocco DeLauri.
Mary was a homemaker and lived in Somerville for the past 50 years, formerly of the North End of Boston. Mary enjoyed cooking and spent endless hours in the kitchen. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, she was also a great fan of the Boston Red Sox and was pleased to finally see a World Series victory.
Mary was the beloved wife of the late Tony Racca. Devoted mother of Anthony Racca of Ohio, Bobby Racca of Colorado, and Ron Racca of Somerville. Loving grandmother of Nicholas Racca and Anthony Racca both of Colorado. Sister of Salvatore DeLauri of Virginia Beach, Virginia the late Angelo DeLauri and Pat DeLauri.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Saturday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford St., Somerville at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 5 thru 9. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
