Bridgewater - Audrey E. (Yeaton) Scheffler, 91, of Bridgewater died Friday, Feb. 18, 2005, at the Life Care Center of Raynham after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Allan D. Scheffler.
Born, raised and educated in Bridgewater, a daughter of the late George A. and Louise (Lotterhand) Yeaton, she was a graduate of Bridgewater Academy High School.
Mrs. Scheffler received a bachelor’s degree in English from Brown University and a master’s degree in Education from Bridgewater Teachers College.
A retired English teacher, she taught for 36 years in Bridgewater, East Bridgewater and Bridgewater-Raynham Regional school systems.
Mrs. Scheff;er enjoyed reading, flower gardening and attending family gatherings.
She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Alice and Gwendolyn Yeaton, both of Bridgewater; many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was sister of the late Frederick E. Yeaton, George A. “Bud” Yeaton and Edith L. Flynn-Howard.
Her funeral service will be held in the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rt.18), Bridgewater, Wednesday at 11 a.m. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9-11 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Prospect Cemetery, Bridgewater.
