Clara G. Fuschetti, a retired teacher at Medford’s Kennedy School, died Tuesday at Blaire House, Tewksbury, After a long illness. She was 73.
A life-long Medford resident, Clara graduated from Lowell State College and then began a 40-year career teaching in the Lincoln Elementary and later at the new Kennedy Elementary School in Medford. A beloved figure, Clara is remembered by generations of students in South Medford.
Clara and a colleague, Catherine Reppucci, were recently honored by having the library at the new Columbus School dedicated in their name.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Carmine and Gertrude (Lucia) Fuschetti. She was a devoted sister to Theodore Fuschetti of Maine and the late Carmine, Gerald and Ronald. She also leaves many loving nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Thursday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit at the funeral home Wednesday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.
