Marjorie Susan Craig a longtime Needham resident and 40 year summer resident of Vinal Haven ME died on Sunday February 20, 2005 at the Avery Manor Nursing Home in Needham She was 87 years old. Marjorie was the Assistant Insurance and Fleet manager for the Ludlow Corp formerly of Needham. She retired in 1983 after 44 years of service. A Notary Public, Marjorie was a charter member and officer of ZONTA International in Newton. She also worked at the Voting Polls in Needham for over 40 years. She and her late sister Dorothy co-sponsored a child in need through Children Inc. She was a member of both the MSPCA and Mass Audubon Society. The beloved daughter of the late Harriett (Elliott) and William D, Craig, Marjorie was the sister of the late Dorothy A., Clifford N., William A., Donald E. and Robert S. Craig. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Avenue Needham on Thursday February 24 th at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers donations in Marjorie’s name may be made to either the MSPCA 350 South Huntington Avenue, Jamaica Plain MA 02130 or the Mass Audubon Society 208 South Great Road, Lincoln MA 01773.
