Obituary Information
Mr. Houde died Monday morning at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He had been a resident of BayPointe for the past two years. He was born and raised in Brockton, the son of the late Emile and Grace (Powers) Houde. He was a graduate of Brockton High School, and a 1949 graduate of the Bentley School of Accounting and Finance, now Bentley College. During WWII he served with the US Army as a paratropper in the Infantry 101 Airborne Division. He was a POW for eleven months being detained in Germany. He had been employed with Bay State Gas Company in Brockton for 26 years in the Sales Department, retiring in 1982. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and watching all sports on TV.He was a former member of the Taunton Lions Club, and a longtime communicant of St. Margaret Church
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elisabeth T. (Serrilla) Houde, and many nieces and nephewsHe was the brother of the late Donald and Philip Houde.
