Fall River – Marieange (St. Laurent) Canuel, 82, of Fall River died Sunday, February 20, 2005 at home after a brief illness. She was the former wife of Raymond Canuel and the late Joseph C. Perry.
She was born in St. Antoine de Padoue, Canada, daughter of the late George and Cedelice (L’Italien) St. Laurent, and had resided in Fall River for the past 73 years. Prior to retirement she was a winder for various mills in the area.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Bernadette M. Choquette of Fall River, and Cedelice M. Leonard of Holden, MA; a brother: George St. Laurent of Fall River; a sister: Jeannette Mello of Fall River; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Cedelice Dodd, Therese Charest, Antoine St. Laurent, Leonidas St. Laurent and Roland St. Laurent.
A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
