Worcester- Helen T. (Zaleski) Wrubel, 89, of 35 Tampa St., died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005 in St. Vincent Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Jacob and Leonora (Hermanska) Zaleski and lived in Worcester all her life. She leaves two sons, Anthony J. Wrubel, with whom she lived and Benjamin C. and his wife Claudette Wrubel, all of Worcester; three daughters, Rose H. Gallant and her husband Ralph of Auburn, Dorothy McGlynn, and Mary Ann Rondeau, both of Worcester; a sister, Mary Grzelak of Worcester; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and a godchild, Linda. She was predeceased by three sisters, Sophie Davis, Jennie Ernst, and Rita McCabe.
She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, Feb. 23, from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the McAuley Nazareth Home for Boys, 77 Mulberry St., Leicester, MA 01524.
