Ursula C. “Cam” (Hoey) Leary, a resident of Newton since 1964, died Thurs Feb 17, 2005 at Epoch of Chestnut Hill.
Born in Liverpool, England she came to the U.S. in 1950 and settled in Watertown. She worked for mover 10 years as an Administrative Assistant at the Newton Public Schools Administration office in Newtonville. She was a member of the Albion Club of Greater Boston and had sung in the choir at St. Ignatius Church in Chestnut Hill. She also did some amateur acting and enjoyed traveling.
Wife of the late Leo F. Leary and mother of the late A. Peter Leary, she is survived by her children Alison Mooradian and her husband Peter of Newton, Anthony T. Leary and his wife Michelle of Needham, Nicholas F. Leary of Needham, Jocelyn A.E. Leary of Windham NH, her daughter in law Keri Leary of Needham, her brothers Herbert Hoey of Australia, and Thomas Hoey of Liverpool England and 7 grandchildren.
Relatives and friends will gather at the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St. Newton Corner on Tues Feb. 22 at 9:30 AM and proceed to a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady Help of Christians Church at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Newton Cemetery. Visiting hours will be in the funeral home on Monday from 4-8 PM.
