Louise Shoemaker, 81, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Friday, February 18, 2005, at Dorminy Medical Center, Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Visitation will be held at Paulk Funeral Home on Saturday, February 19, from 7-9 P.M.,
Funeral services will be held at Saint Pauls Funeral Home in Saint Pauls, North Carolina.
Interment will follow in the Great Marsh Baptist Church Cemetery, Robeson County, North Carolina.
Mrs. Shoemaker was born June 22, 1923, in Robeson County, North Carolina to the late Eugene Roland Johnson and Mittie Watts Johnson. She was a former seamstress and Director of the Community Center in Cameron Hill, North Carolina. Survivors include her husband: Edward (Merl) Shoemaker, Fitzgerald, GA; children: JoAnn Farley, Fayetteville, N.C., Ted Tilson, Jr., Fitzgerald, GA and Pat Clay, Fitzgerald, GA; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; sister: Vallie Rose Bledsoe, Fayetteville, NC; brother: Eugene Roland Johnson, Jr, Newport, NC.
