NO. TEWKSBURY - Bruce F. “Soupe” Campbell, age 65, a member of IBEW Local 103, died
Friday, Feb. 18, at his North Tewksbury home after a lengthy illness, surrounded by his family.
He was the husband of Mary Jane (Farley) Campbell, with whom he had celebrated a 45th
wedding anniversary this past June 6th.
He was born in Chelsea, Aug. 24, 1939, a son of the late Bruce D. Campbell and the late Mary
(Collins)(Campbell) White. He was a lifelong resident of Tewksbury, but had wintered in Florida
since his retirement..
He retired from Boston Local 103 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union
after 45 years of service as an electrician in 2002.
He was fondly remembered by his family as an avid fisherman, hunter, and outdoors man, who
had enjoyed motorhome travel in his more recent years.
He was a communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine Parish in West Andover.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Bruce E. Campbell and his
wife Lisa (Vecchi) of Dracut, and Brian Campbell of FL; three daughters and two sons-in-law,
Maureen Dunlevy and her husband John of Georgetown, Heather Ward and her husband Kevin,
and Kathleen Pontes-Campbell all of Tewksbury; three sisters, Carol Ann MacKinnon and
Dorothy Tuleja both of CA, and Kathy Campbell of Alaska; a brother, Scott Campbell of Alaska;
thirteen grandchildren, Ashley, Geoffrey, Daniel, Kimberly, Brittany and Brianna Campbell, Kyle
and Emma Dunlevy, Sarah and Lindsey Ward, Emily, Bradley and Tyler Pontes; and several
nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Mass was held Monday,
Feb. 21, in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, West Andover.
Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, No. Tewksbury. Memorial to the Merrimack Valley VNA Hospice, 360 Merrimack St, Bldg. 9,
